Non invasive treatment for heart diseases or Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) is a non surgical treatment for people suffering from Heart Attack, Heart Failure or Angina. Patients suffering from harsh cardiac diseases or “no option” patients can take advantages of extending their lives through EECP treatments. Today more and more people who are suffering from angina are choosing EECP because it is inexpensive, non surgical and non-invasive.
If you are suffering from any heart disease then EECP is a safe and affective alternative which is a non-invasive procedure that creates collateral circulation known as new blood vessels in the heart. Long inflatable cuffs like to blood pressure cuffs, wrap around your legs as well as are inflated or deflated with each heartbeat. Chirayu Superspeciality is the renowned EECP treatment hospital in Mumbai, and has advanced EECP equipments with highly experienced and efficient doctors in cardiovascular care.
A broad range of tests is available at our center to diagnose the various stages and forms of heart disease. Our doctor will start by taking the medical history of the patient and conduct a physical examination as well. A series of non-invasive tests may be used to identify the exact nature and severity of the heart state, which the patient is suffering from. Some of the noninvasive tests include Chest X-ray, Electrocardiography / Electrocardiogram, Holter monitoring, Exercise Stress Test, Echocardiography, Computed Tomography (CT) scan and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Generally, the EECP treatment procedure takes about 35 hours with one hour per day scheduled for five days in a week. The patient has to lay on a flat bed of the EECP machine in this treatment. To collect the recordings of the heart beats with a constant ECG, 3 to 5 electrodes are attached to the patient’s chest area. A plethysmograph is applied by the doctor to the pointing finger for recording the tracing of the blood pressure or oxygen saturation. The ECG signal synchronizes the inflation or deflation of the cuffs.
Our doctor will work with you to minimize your cardiac risk factors as well as help you in making good decisions about this extremely serious health problem.
